REPORTED INCIDENTS –January 15-16, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
Hacking in Tigbao
Zamboanga Del Sur - Hacking incident occurred in Barangay Begong, Tigbao at around 10:30 PM of January 15, 2015. The victim was identified as Renato Pata Y Sumambod alias “Nonon”, 45, married, farmer, resident of Purok Beti, Barangay Begong. The victim, who was walking on his way home, was hacked by two suspects identified as Rey Vazquez Y Galleros, 19 and June Mar Bentoco Y Galleros, 32, both residents of said place. They concealed themselves at the grassy and forested areas of the above place of incident and waylaid the victim and without apparent reason allegedly hacked the victim several times. He sustained two (2) hacked wounds on his face and one (1) hacked wound on the left part of his body. He was immediately brought by his relatives to Pagadian Medical Center for medical treatment and now in stable condition. The Tigbao MPS conducted Intel driven operation and comprehensive planning against the fleeing suspects at about 12:00 AM of January 16, 2015, that led to their arrest. They are now under the custody of said police station while preparing appropriate charges against them in court.

Shooting in Pagadian
Pagadian City - Shooting incident occurred at about 4:40 PM of January 16, 2015 at Barangay Manga, Pagadian City. The victim was identified as Lilian Alvarado Real, 52, married, female and a resident of Barangay Bulawan. She was shot to death by suspect identified as Gil Benabaye Y Perater a.k.a. “Junie”, 42, resident of Barangay Manga. Based on the investigation conducted by Pagadian CPS disclosed that both victim and suspect were engaged in a heated argument at the abovementioned place when suddenly the latter (suspect) pulled out caliber 45 pistol and shot the former (victim)  hitting on his left cheek and exited on the back of her head that resulted to his instantaneous death. The suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident while responding PNP elements of Pagadian City Police conducted a hot pursuit operation to possibly track down the fleeing suspect. The evidence recovered from the crime scene is two (2) fired cartridge case of Cal 45 pistol and to be turned- over to Provincial Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination. The cadaver now lies at Gamalinda funeral homes. A case is being prepared for filing in court against the abovementioned suspect.

No. 12 Most Wanted Man Nabbed in Lakewood
Zamboanga Del Sur – Lakewood Top 12 Most Wanted Person was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Lakewood led by Police Inspector Roel J. Japay at around 6:00 PM of January 16, 2015. Suspect Jonifer Perdiguez, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Acting Judge Ensor A. Pantaran of 13th MCTC of Kumalarang, Lakewood and Bayog for the crime of attempted homicide aggravated with the use of an unlicensed firearm docketed under criminal case no. 1731-1. Accused is now temp detained at said police station while waiting the commitment order from the issuing court.

Cafgu Member Arrested for Violation of RA 10591 and Direct Assault
Zamboanga Del Sur - A CAFGU member who was armed with caliber 22 revolvers and under the influence of liquor was arrested during police operation after he got wild and challenge anybody for a duel, in Barangay Dawa, Josefina at around 1:30 AM of January 16, 2015.  Police Senior Inspector Hailil Kunairi, Josefina Police Chief, identified the arrested suspect as Benjie Tumatob Y Calderon, 36, married, CAFGU member, and resident of said place. He was charged for violation of RA 10591 (firearms law and ammunition act) and direct assault. Based on the investigation conducted by Josefina MPS disclosed that prior to the incident, said victim who was armed with a caliber 22 revolver believed to be under the influence of liquor suddenly got wild and challenge anybody for a duel. He was then pacified by police operatives purposely to calm down and to avoid any incident to happened, however, suspect refused to surrender to the authorities. When the police operative found opportune time, he grabbed the suspect and a short grappled took place which the suspect was successfully disarmed. Seized from his possession and control was one (1) magnum caliber 22 revolver bearing serial number German RG 337096 with three (3) live ammunitions. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Josefina MPS while a appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 and direct assault are now being prepared for filing in court.

Report on Stabbing Incident
Pagadian City - Stabbing incident transpired in Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City at around 11:00 PM of January 16, 2015. The victim was identified as Candelario Catalan Y Caballero, 19 years old, sales attendant of Jose Cachero Sari-Sari Store located at the said place and temporarily residing at Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City. The victim sustained lone stabbed wound at the right portion of his neck and was brought immediately to zamboanga Del Sur medical center for immediate medical treatment. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was allegedly stabbed by unidentified perpetrator at about. He then asked for helped at the house near the incident. The alleged suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow- up investigation to possibly arrest the suspect.

VIOLATION OF R.A. 9262 AND R.A. 10591 IN PAGADIAN CITY
On or about 11:00 in the evening of January 16, 2015, Pagadian City Police Station received a cellular phone call from concerned citizen informing that a mauling incident transpired at Purok Sampaguita, Barangay San Pedro Pagadian City wherein victim identified as Avelina Joroz Y Bontilao, 44 years old, married, resident of said place was allegedly mauled by her husband identified as Michael Joroz Salera, 45 years old, married and a resident of said place. PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station led by PInsp Harry Ratunil Velez, officer of the day, immediately proceeded and responded to the reported place of incident. upon arrival of the responding team  and with the aid of the victim, suspect was arrested on her store located at the aforementioned place and confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect one (1) unit caliber 45 pistol  Armscor, bearing serial nr 1243043 with one (1) magazine loaded with seven (7) live ammos of same caliber. suspect is now temporary detained at Pagadian City Police Station lock-up cell while a case for violation of R.A. 10591 known as the “Comprehensive Firearms And Ammo Regulation Act”  and R.A. 9262 known as “The Anti-Violence Against Women And Their Children Act Of 2004" now being prepared for immediate filing in court against the suspect.
