Shooting Incident
LAPUYAN - Shooting
incident occurred at Purok Palas, Barangay Tiguha, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur.
Victim was confined/under medication at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center due to
gunshot wounds. Investigation disclosed that on or about 2:00 PM of June 20,
2017, wherein victim identified as Romel Brigondo Cabasag, 40 years old, male,
married, farmer, a resident of Purok Palas, Barangay Tiguha, Lapuyan, Zamboanga
Del Sur while working on his farmland and he was shot by two (2) unidentified
person who were wearing bonnets using a short caliber firearms hitting his left
knee and left shoulder and immediately brought to the Margos General Hospital and
later on transferred to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for
proper medication. Further, victim admitted that he was a former member of New
People’s Army (NPA) under the command of a certain “natan” based at Lapuyan,
Zamboanga Del Sur and he was separated from the movement last December 2016. Pagadian
CPS conducted follow up investigation for possible arrest of the suspect.

Arrest of Wanted Person
AURORA - A laborer
was arrested by operatives of Aurora MPS at Purok San Francisco, Brgy. San
Jose, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 PM of June 22, 2017. Suspect was
identified as Jay Ejorango Marilao, male, 40 years old, laborer and temporarily
residing at Brgy. Lubid, Aurora. Suspect has standing warrant of arrest issued
by Hon. Edmundo P. Pintac, Executive Judge Of Regional Trial Court, 10th
Judicial Region, Branch-15, Ozamis City, for the crime of rape, under cc#
rtc-7829 with recommended bail bond of one hundred twenty thousand pesos (P120,
000.00). Arrested subject person is
presently detained at Aurora MPS for proper disposition..
