JOSEFINA - Stabbing incident
transpired in Barangay Tagaytay Hill, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:30
PM of July 1, 2017, wherein Lorielen Nilllas Esterioso, 52 years old, married a
resident of Purok 2, Peña, Barangay Tagaytay Hill Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur was
stabbed to death by Michael Sarigumba Estor, 33 years old, married, a resident
of Purok 1, Saban, Barangay Tagaytay Hill Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect
was shot to death by the responding personnel of Josefina MPS. Initial
investigation disclosed that the suspect went berserk for unknown reason and
stabbed the victim hitting on the different parts of his body that resulted to
his death. upon arrival of the responding personnel at the crime scene, they
tried to convince the suspect to surrender but instead the suspect entered and
hide at the house of Ellen Mae Estor Daulong, 36 years old, married a resident
of Purok 1, Saban, Barangay Tagaytay Hill Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. a few
minutes later, the suspect was able to set a fire to burn the said house. When PO2
Jonathan Pornia tried to pacify the suspect, subject person tried to raise his
bolo and attack PO2 pornia which prompted him to shoot the suspect using his
issued 9mm service pistol hitting on the right side body of the suspect. Further investigation disclosed that the
suspect was suffering from mental disorder and had gone medical treatment at Josefina
Municipal Health unit a year ago and stopped taking a medication which worsens
his mental condition. Investigator-on-case is Po3 Afredo Ecot Repe with contact

Arrest of a RA 10591 Violator
PAGADIAN CITY - A
38-year old Bank manager was arrested after by Pagadian City Police after he
allegedly pointed his hand gun to two minors in Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City
at about 12:05 AM of July 1, 2017. Pagadian City Police Station identified the
suspect as Jophet Daguman Daug, 38 years old, married, Branch Manager of 1st
Valley Bank, Pagadian City, a resident of Barangay Sapa Loboc, Aurora,
Zamboanga Del Sur. He onboard his gray Toyota avanza bearing plate number
uqo291 when allegedly drew unidentified short firearm and aimed at the two (2)
minors identified as Angelo Barsabal Ceño, 15 years old, single, grade 9
student and Vernil Labadan Abanin, 17 years old, single, all residents of Purok
Silao, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. Confiscated from his
possession and control were: one (1) unit caliber .45 norinco bearing serial
number ba02242 with inserted magazine loaded with eight (8) rounds of
ammunition. The confiscated firearm has an expired licensed, dated march 3,
2014 with control number i-b490882 and firearm license number 81675211503706. The
arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to Pagadian City Police
Station for proper disposition.
Arrest of Wanted Person
AURORA - A wanted
person of Cebu City was arrested by Aurora MPS at Barangay Bag-Ong Pitogo,
Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:30 AM of July 1, 2017. The suspect was Nespher
A Lucero, 27 years old, with live in partner, laborer and a resident of the
aforementioned place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the
crime of qualified theft docketed under criminal case number os-16-1304 with no
bail-bond recommended and violation of RA 6539 docketed under criminal case
number os-16-1305 with recommended bail-bond of one hundred eighty thousand
(₱180,000.00) pesos all issued by Hon. James Stewart Ramon E Himalalaon,
Presiding Judge Of 7th Judicial Region, branch 62, Oslob, Cebu City. He is temporarily
detained at Aurora MPS for proper disposition.
