REPORTED INCIDENTS –March 31, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
SHOOTING INCIDENT

On or about 7:15 in the evening of March 31, 2015 transpired along the provincial road of Purok African Daisy 1, Barangay Culo, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Wilson Lahos Y Camporedondo, 37 years old, male, married a resident of Purok Paglaum, Barangay Mabuhay, Molave, Zamboanga Sibugay was shot to death by unidentified suspect. PNP members of Molave Police Station under the direct supervision of PSInsp Gabriel Neri Maglangit, OIC proceeded to the place of incident to conduct initial investigation. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was driving his bongo vehicle towards home together with his son Kent Lahos and truck man Roland Laguitao while traversing the above-mentioned place of incident two suspects both wearing a mask onboard single motorcycle Honda TMX appeared and move closer toward victim side thereafter, the back rider shot the victim once with used of unknown caliber of firearm. Victim sustained gunshot wound on his head that resulted to his instantaneous death. Suspects fled towards the direction of Barangay Mabuhay, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur onboard single motorcycle. Said incident happened when Molave Municipality was experiencing power blackout. Molave Police Station conducted follow-up investigation for possible identified and arrest the suspects, the motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge.

KIDNAPPING INCIDENT

On or about 5:30 in the afternoon of March 31, 2015, kidnapping incident transpired at Public Market, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victims identified as Ace Jay Garban, 3 years old, Zynielle Jay P. Garban, 2 years old, Ledegie C. Tomarong 17 years old. PNP elements Pitogo Police Station immediately proceeded to the aforesaid place of incident to response to the incident and conduct occular inspection and investigation. initial invest conducted revealed that there were more or less ten (10) unidentified armed men with high powered long firearms onboard two motorized pump boats docked at the fish port of Pitogo, Amboanga Del Sur and immediately said group proceeded to the bakeshop owned by certain Chzarenia Kapa Sajulga and attempted to abduct the said owner but failed because said owner was able to ran inside the room and locked the same. the suspects tried to open the said door by firing at the door knob  that caused an alarm to the public in the area.  Suspects returned to their pump boats without their target, while PNP elements of Pitogo Police Station encountered said group and exchanged of gun fires. Suspects took the victims who were at the fish port as their human shield and they managed to escape towards unknown direction onboard two motorized pump boats. Pitogo police station led by PInsp Mario Abelo Regidor, OIC conducted hot pursuit operation for possible identification and arrest of the fleeing suspect/s together with other bantay dagat of neighboring municipality and motive of the incident is still to be determined. CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS

On or about 4:20 in the afternoon of March 31, 2015 at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP elements of Mahayag Police Station under the direct supervision of PCInsp Homer Tragico Dumalag, COP proceeded to the aforesaid place to conduct entrapment/buy bust operation that resulted to the arrest of one (1) Jayme Y Brobo, 33 years old, married, employee of Mahayag LGU, a resident of Purok 3 Tinago, Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur who was actively engaging selling drugs at aforesaid place. confiscated and recovered from his possession and control to wit: one (1) small heat sealed transparent sachet of suspected “shabu” and one (1) big heat sealed transparent sachet of suspected “ shabu” with twelve (12) pieces of aluminum foil placed at the universal battery charger inside his pocket; two (2) lighter and three (3) One Hundred Peso bills buy-bust money. Suspect is now temporary detained at Mahayag Police Station lock-up cell while preparing an inquest case against the suspect for violation of R.A. 9165 in court. OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON

On or about 10:00 in the morning of March 31, 2015, intelligence personnel of Molave Police Station led by PSInsp Gabriel Neri Maglangit together with anti-kidnapping group (AKG) Region IX led by SPO2 Alex Buray conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Pala-O, Iligan City and successfully arrested one(1) Nemrod Jalalon Y Cañete, 52 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Purok 24, Barangay Daligupa, Iligan City by virtue of warrant of arrest  for the crime of Rape in relation to R.A. 7910 with cc nr 2013-10-2720 and 2013-10-2721 issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave Zamboanga Del Sur dated June 26, 2014 with no bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty. Arrested person now temporary detained at Molave Police Station awaiting for final adjudication from the court.
