SAN MIGUEL - Shooting
incident that transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Concepcion, San Miguel, Zamboanga
Del Sur
at about 1:00 PM on
March 12, 2017. San Miguel MPS identified the victim as Wilfredo Habla Morales,
54, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 4, Concepcion, San Miguel,
Zamboanga Del Sur. Victim was shot to death by a group of young armed men
believed to be member of Local Communist Movement (LCM) using caliber .45
pistol based on the empty shell that was turned over to the investigating team.
Elements of San Miguel MPS conducted follow up investigation for possible
arrest of the suspects. Motive of the incident believed that the victim is
confidential informant of AFP assigned in the area. Investigator on case is Po3

DIMATALING - Shooting
incident transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Josefina, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del
Sur at about 5:45 PM of March 12, 2017.
Dimataling MPS identified the alleged victim as Maximo Adlawun Cortez, 49 years
old, married, farmer and a resident of above-mentioned place, who was shot to
death by unidentified suspects. Investigation conducted disclosed that the
victim together with his wife Gina Apao Cortez, were walking along the Barangay
Road from Purok 5 going to their home at Purok 6, however, upon reaching at Purok
2 one (1) suspect followed behind and without provocation suddenly shot the
victim several times using kg9 caliber based on the seven (7) 9mm empty shells
recovered at the crime scene. Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in
different parts of his body and on his head which resulted to his instantaneous
death. The suspects fled to towards unknown direction.

PAGADIAN CITY - PNP elements
of San Pablo MPS led by Police Senior Inspector Renante Bayona Benitez, Officer-
in Charge, conducted campaign against wanted person/OTBT particularly at Barangay
Gatas, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 AM of March 12, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Juanito
Cuaton Baluran, 56 years old, married, carpenter and a resident of Purok
Maabtikon, Barangay Pantad, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur. This is by virtue of
warrant of arrest docketed under cc # 1179-2k14, 11795-2k14 and 11796-2k16 for
violation of rape in relation to R.A. 7610 (3 counts) issued by Hon. Benjamin R. Lanzaderas,
Presiding Judge Of Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region Br 22, Pagadian
City with no bail recommended. Arrested person is presently detained at San
Pablo MPS for proper disposition.
