Campaign
against Illegal Logging in Margosatubig
PNP personnel of Margosatubig MPS and
personnel of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) together with Mr. Ernie Jay S
Jimenez, Acting Provincial Coconut Marketing and Regulatory Specialist (PCMARS)
conducted joint operation on anti-illegal logging at Sitio Gabay, Poblacion,
Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur on June 3, 2018 at about 9:00 AM.
The operation resulted to the
confiscation of more or less five hundred ninety (590) board feet of coconut
lumbers owned by Mr. Felipe Salinas Y Carlito, legal age, married, businessman
and resident of Sitio Luguimit, Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.
The confiscation was conducted for
violation of RA 8048 Regulation of Cutting Coconut trees, its replenishment and
Penalties thereof.
Confiscated Lumbers are now under the
custody of Coconut Development Office, Province of Zamboanga del Sur for proper
disposition.
Arrest
of Wanted Person in Pagadian City
Detective team of Pagadian City Police conducted
police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Tisa, Barangay Baloyboan,
Pagadian City on June 3, 2018 at about 9:20 AM.
The operation resulted to the arrest of
Alecio Sabello Padogdog, 44 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok
Tisa, Barangay Baloyboan, Pagadian City.
The accused was arrested by virtue of
Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Grave Coercion, docketed under Criminal Case
No. 17266, issued by Hon. Johnabel H. Tabunda, Presiding Judge, Municipal Trial
Court in Cities, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 02, Pagadian City dated 24 April
2018 with no bail bond recommended.
Subject person is now temporary
detained at Pagadian CPS detention cell awaiting court disposition.
