REPORTED INCIDENTS –March 12, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
SHOOTING INCIDENT MIDSALIP

On or about 8:00 in the evening of March 12, 2015, Midsalip Police Station received a cellular call from Midsalip Infirmary Hospital informing that a victim of shooting incident was brought to the said hospital for medical treatment. Immediately, PNP elements of Midsalip Police Station led by PSInsp Ansary Romapa Polog, OIC proceeded immediately to the said hospital to conduct investigation of the said report. investigation disclosed that the victim who was identified as one (1) Ferdinand Lumawan Y Dalangonon, 45 years old, married and a resident of Purok Tres, Barangay Pisompongan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur was walking home together with his wife  Berta Lumawan Y Candao, 40 years old from Barangay Balonai towards Barangay Pisompongan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur when  unidentified person appeared in the dark portion of the road and without apparent reason shot the victim with the use of a homemade shotgun hitting the victim’s left  arm. The victim sustained several pellets wounds on his left arm and was immediately brought to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for immediate medical treatment on the other hand suspects fled to unknown direction after the commission of a crime. Midsalip Police Station is still conducting deeper investigation of the incident to determine the motive as well as to identify and possibly apprehended the suspect for filing of appropriate charges in court.  Investigator on case is PO3 Pfizer Asugas Perez with cp no 0947754056.1

STABBING INCIDENT IN LABANGAN

On or about 5:30 in the afternoon of March 12, 2015 At Purok Saranay, Barangay Tawagan Norte, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as one (1) Reymark Sapra Y Anlimon, 19 years old, male, single, laborer by occupation and a resident of Purok Matinabangon, Barangay Cogonan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur was stabbed with the used of a long heavy knife with a single edge by the suspect identified as one (1) Berting Palaran, 28 years old, male, single, laborer by occupation and a resident of Barangay Binayan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP elements of Labangan Police Station led by SPO2 Abelardo Lequin Buante, MESPO proceeded to the place of incident to verify the veracity of the report. Investigation conducted by same Police Station disclosed that prior to the incident; the suspect and the victim were engage in heated conversation with each other which led to the stabbing of the victim. Victim sustained single stabbed wound on his left side abdomen and was brought to the Pagadian Doctors Hospital, Pagadian City for medical treatment while suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident. HACKING INCIDENT AND ARREST OF SUSPECT IN MIDSALIP

On or about 12:15 in the afternoon of March 12, 2015, a call from Municipal Mayor Liwaya Angcap Paras of Midsalip Municipality stating that there was a person coming from Barangay Matalang got amok carrying a bolo and proceeding to Barangay Poblacion of same municipality. PNP elements of Midsalip Police Station led by SPO4 Eulogio Daing Aballe immediately responded the call and at about 12:25 in the afternoon of same date the responding tm arrived at Barangay Timbaboy and confirmed the information that suspect was already in the said barangay. Immediately, SPO4 Aballe confronted the suspect and introduces himself as Police Officer commanded the suspect to surrender and dropped his bolo and submits himself to the authorities peacefully. The suspect dropped his bolo, step back and raised his hands heeding to the command but when the PNP officers approach him, he (suspect) suddenly got his bolo and attacked by hacking SPO4 Eulogio Aballe but fortunately SPO4 Aballe evaded the several attempt to inflict injury towards the said police officer and having no other option to repel his attacked he shot the suspect once by the used of his issued M16 rifle. as a result suspect sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his left breast thru and thru to his back and immediately brought to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital and subsequently evacuated to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Pagadian City for further medical treatment. Initial investigation revealed that the aforementioned suspect was fully identified as one (1) Julie Relativo Y Nasuli, 38 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Matalang, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur and confiscated from his possession was one (1) bolo measuring 18 inches long including the handle. According to Barangay Kagawad Jerry Tumalis of Barangay Matalang, Midsalip, zamboanga del sur that Julie Relativo has suffered mental disorder. Investigation further revealed that prior to the incident at about 9:30 in the morning of March 12, 2015 at Barangay Matalang, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur said suspect  got wild armed with a bolo and when his brothers namely: Francisco Relative, Felicisimo Relativo And Carlito Relativo try to pacify and stop the suspect in making further trouble instead suspect stoned his brothers unfortunately Carlito Relativo was hit that caused the latter fell down into the ground then the suspect run away from the scene towards to Barangay Tuluan then to Barangay Canipay Sur until and upon reaching Barangay Timbaboy, the suspect again attacked the GAD Planning Workshop conducted by Mrs. Gadelyn Palonpalong-MLGOO at the barangay hall of said barangay. it was also disclosed that the suspect while on his way from Barangay Matalang to Barangay Timbaboy, he also hacked Reynaldo Verdad hitting on his head while the latter tried to pacified the suspect who tried to chased some populace while on his way at Barangay Canipay Sur to Barangay Timbaboy.

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON

On or about 4:40 in the afternoon of March 12, 2015, joint elements of Lakewood Police Station led by PInsp Roel Japay and PIB led by PSupt Modhin Acob Pantaran proceeded at Poblacion Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur for the service of warrant of arrest which led to the successful arrest of one (1) Efren Lesayao, 18 years old, jobless, a resident of same place for the crime of attempted murder docketed in cc #11288-2144 issued by Hon. Benjamin Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge of RTC br. 22, Pagadian City with bail bond fixed to one hundred twenty thousand pesos. Accused now temporarily detained at Lakewood Police Station while waiting for commitment order from the court.
