Shooting in Dimataling

Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur – Shooting incident transpired at about 8:30 PM of March 13, 2015 in Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling. The victim was identified as Nurjim Hassan Ibrahim, 16, high school student and a resident of abovementioned place. He was walking on his way home and upon reaching at the grassy area of said place, a certain Nono Bonga, also a resident of said place, appeared and without provocation shot the victim several times with the use of undetermined type of handgun. The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his left arm and left leg. He was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. The suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident while the motive of the incident is believed to be land conflict. The Dimataling MPS now conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the suspect. 

Stabbing in Labangan

Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur - Stabbing incident occurred at about 5:00 PM of March 13, 2015 in Barangay Lower Pulacan, Labangan. The victim was identified as Crisanto Montañez Y Caylan, 26, quarry laborer by occupation, resident of said place. He was stabbed by the suspect identified as Rolando Angala, 48, also a quarry laborer by occupation, resident of Barangay Lantian, Labangan.  Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim and the suspect were having a misunderstanding from their work in which a heated arguments ensued between tem for the past days.  The victim was playing basketball when suddenly stabbed by the suspect without apparent reason. He sustained one stabbed wound on his left side of his body using bladed weapon (knife) about 8 inches and was brought by his relatives to Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.

Rizal No. 9 Most Wanted Nabbed in Tigbao

Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur - The operatives of Tigbao MPS, PIB-ZSPPO, RPSB9 and Rizal MPS arrested the Top 9 most wanted person in Rizal municipality during police operation in Barangay Upper Nilo, Tigbao at about 4:40 PM of March 13, 2015. Police Senior Norbert Ferrer Velonza, Tigbao Police Chief, said 49-year old Pator Dologuin Jr., y Gumilac alias Junjun/ Nestor was arrested for the crime of frustrated murder docketed under criminal case # 13433 issued by Hon. Porferio E. Mah, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 8, Dipolog City  issued on August 8, 2005 with P 200,000 bail recommended. The suspect is now detained at the Tigbao MPS. He is facing the charges of the crime of frustrated murder.

Motorcycle Stolen in Mahayag, Suspects Nabbed

Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur – A motorcycle was stolen at about 11:30 PM of March 13, 2015 at Purok 1, Daniel C. Mantos, Mahayag, wherein one (1) unit Rusi single mc blue/black, bearing plate # JU 9827, was stolen by the suspects alfa identified as Rex Dano Fuentes a.k.a. “tikyo”, Jhon Mark Paselo Torres a.k.a. “juan” and a certain Francis Mehio Galindo a.k.a. “Francis”. Initial investigation conducted by Mahayag MPS disclosed that the aforesaid single mc was being parked beside the house of the owner and it was stolen by the aforesaid suspects. The suspects immediately run away towards unknown direction and abandoned the aforesaid single mc at the road of the above-mentioned place, when they (suspects) sensed the presence of Rijie  Edizon Barunday. The two suspects identified as Rex Dano Fuentes, Jhon Mark Paselo Torres were arrested by Barangay Captain Eduardo B. Borado, Barangay Tumapic, Mahayag. Both were subsequently turned-over to the responding policemen. The other suspect identified as Francis Mehio Galindo a.k.a. “Francis” was arrested by the PNP elements of said police station at Barangay Balamban, Mahayag. The arrested suspects are now at the custody of Mahayag MPS while appropriate case is being prepared for filing against them.

Motor Vehicular Accident

Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur - Motor vehicle traffic accident occurred along the National Highway, Sitio Logdeck, Barangay Upper Bag-Ong Tudela, Josefina at about 2:40 PM of March 14, 2015. The vehicle involved was a Kia Besta van cmm color green cmm with plate no. wse-242, owned and driven by Precioso Barrios Corvera, 52, and one Isuzu forward cargo truck color white, bearing plate number GEG-608, driven by Antonio Danao Vidad, 33, resident of Barangay Polo, Dapitan City. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the Kia van was negotiating along the national highway from Barangay Bag-Ong Argao, Molave heading towards Josefina, however, upon reaching at above-mentioned place, said van swerved to the left side of the road and came into contact to the aforesaid Isuzu forward cargo truck which was heading on opposite direction. The left side door of said van was totally damaged while the fuel tank of said Isuzu forward truck incurred damage due to the impact. There were no persons injured during the incident while both vehicles and drivers are now in the custody of Josefina MPS for proper disposition.

Aurora PNP Arrests Man for Estafa

Lanao Del Norte - A 27-year old jobless was arrested during the service of warrant of arrest conducted by Aurora MPS and Lala MPS in Barangay Magpatao, Lanao Del Norte at about 9:30 PM of March 14, 2015. Police Senior Inspector Heidel B. Te-elan, Aurora Police Chief, said 27-year old Anthony Lanaja y Sasarita was arrested at his by virtue of the arrest warrant duly signed by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of estafa and docketed under criminal case no. 14-10, 2014 with no bail recommended. He is now in the custody of Aurora MPS while waiting for the commitment order from the court for his eventual transfer to Ramon Magsaysay Jail.
