Shooting Incident in Sominot

Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur – Shooting incident occurred at about 8:07 PM of March 17, 2015 in Purok Esperanza, Sominot. The victim was identified as Rhone Gabutero y Dagondol, 33, married, resident of said place. He was found lying on the floor bathed with his own blood inside their house and was rushed to Pagadian City Medical Center for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the victim was watching TV inside their house when suddenly two unidentified persons came in front of their house and without any provocation shot the victim several times on different parts of his body. He sustained two gunshot wounds on his left flank and exited to his right arm and three gunshots wounds on the lumbosacral area and exited to his right quadrant area of his body. The motive of the incident is still to be determined by the investigator of Sominot MPS who are now conducting manhunt operation for the arrest of the two fleeing suspects.

Hacking Incident in Tambulig 

Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur - A hacking incident occurred at about 7:30 PM of March 17, 2015 in Purok 1, Barangay Balucot, Tambulig. The victim was identified as John Willy Langam Y Poyot, 24, married a farmer and a resident of said place. He was hacked by the suspect identified as Cerelo Marinas Y Cabilla, 42, also a farmer. Investigation showed that the suspect was celebrating his 42nd birthday together with his family and his step- son in their residence when the suspect and victim got drunk which resulted to misunderstanding and commotion happened. the suspect then got his scythe locally known as lait then stabbed the victim hitting the left portion of the victims chest then hacked several times hitting the victim’s head, left shoulder and left arm which caused the instantaneous death of the victim. The suspect was arrested by the operatives of Tambulig MPS during follow-up operation. He is now under the custody of said police station. He is charged with the crime of homicide with criminal case number 2015-10-2948 and docket number ix-09-inq-15c-00038.

Stabbing Incident in Mahayag

Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur - Stabbing incident transpired in Barangay Tuburan, Mayahag at about 7:00 PM of March 17, 2015. The victim was identified as roger Montillano Y Aporado Aka “Dodong”, 42, with live-in partner, farmer and a resident of the aforesaid place. He was stabbed by his younger brother identified as Arturo Montillano Y Aporado Aka “Toto” 29, also a farmer. The victim was found dead and his body lean on the teepee (for rooster) without upper garment and bathed with his own blood. Investigation showed the victim was in a drinking spree with his father Benjamin Montillano, Joseph Arael and Marcelino Oculam at the store of Barangay Kagawad Renato Naranjo, however, while in the course of drinking spree victim provoked his father engaged an altercation and victim attack / assault and delivered fistic of blows to his father that prompted the suspect to rescue his father against the relentless attack by the victim. He also attacks the suspect and both engaged into a fist fight but due to the intervention of Barangay Kagawad Renato Naranjo, the victim and suspect were pacified. The suspect then went home to avoid trouble with the victim, however, the victim followed the suspect and then attack, and assaults the suspect which prompted the suspect to draw his double blade knife and stab once the victim who sustained lone stab wound on the right chest which caused his instantaneous death. The suspect fled to unknown direction after the commission of the offense. The Mahayag Police Station is now conducting pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect.  

Fire Incident in Pagadian City

Pagadian City – Fire incident occurred at about 8:40 PM of March 17, 2015 at Datoc Street, Purok Alpine, Gatas District, Pagadian City, wherein resulted to the burning of two house owned by Atty. Lamberto Talip and certain Ubas. Based on the investigation of Bureau of Fire Protection, the cause of fire incident is due to unattended candle. The estimated damage more or less P1, 000,000.00 and declare fire -out at about 9:30 PM of the same date.
