Shooting In Labangan

Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur – Shooting incident occurred at around 7:20 PM of March 21, 2015 in Purok 4, Barangay Dalapang, Labangan. The victim was identified as Eden Arsad Y Damayan, 20, quarry laborer, resident of Barangay New Labangan. He was on his way home coming from the mosque when suddenly unidentified person waylaid him and was shot twice with the use of caliber 45 pistols based on the empty shell recovered at the crime scene. The victim sustained gunshot wounds on the left portion of his head and neck which caused his untimely death. The alleged suspect fled heading to unknown direction after the incident. The cadaver of victim was brought by his relatives to his home as part of Muslim tradition. The motive of the incident is still to be determined by the investigators of Labangan MPS who are now conducting deep investigation regarding the incident.

Shooting In Tukuran

Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur – Shooting incident took place in Barangay Sambulawan, Tukuran at around 6:20 PM of March 21, 2015. The victim was identified as Antonio Arisana, 62, farmer, married, resident of afore-said place. He was walking along the road heading towards his residence when suddenly unidentified person riding on a single motorcycle with back rider block his way and went near him. The back rider then without any provocation shot him with the use of Cal 45 pistol based on the two fire cartridge recovered from the crime scene. The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his left chest and left hips and arm which cause his instantaneous death. The suspects fled to unknown direction after the incident. The motive of the incident is believed to be land conflict. The elements of Tukuran MPS are now conducting follow- up operation regarding the incident.    

Grenade Explosion in Dinas

Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur – An explosion incident transpired at Purok Pasayan Barangay Benuatan, Dinas at around 1:30 AM of March 21, 2015, wherein the residential house of Ustadz Allap Samin, 76, married, was hurled by an hand grenade by unidentified suspects. initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim  was asleep along with his wife identified as Mayong Abdulkarim Alap Samin, 62, together with their two grandson identified as Banjunaid Tantong Samin and Nadzir Tantong Samin, however, they were awaken due to explosion outside their house particularly at the garage hitting the jalousie glass windows, plywood ceiling. The explosion caused damaged the right side rear portion of the automobile color gray which was parked at the garage. Recovered from the crime scene are the detonating pin believed to be a hand grenade and other metal parts. According to the relative of the victims, a certain Bay Mayo Samin, after the explosion incident, he personally seen an unidentified person boarded with a single mc over speeding passing along the road and exit to unknown direction. The elements of Dinas MPS are still conducting follow - up investigation for possible arrest the suspect.  

Report on the Fire Incidents

Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur – Fire incident occurred at around 11:30 AM of March 21, 2015 at the farmland of SPO4 Abelardo Pauyon Vicente, PNP member of Dumalinao MPS, 49, resident of Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, wherein estimated 400 coffee trees was razed of fire. Investigation conducted by Dumalinao MPS the owner of the land believed that the fire won’t grow bigger but at around 01:00 pm the fire traveled almost two (2) hectares of his farmland. The fire was controlled at around 2:00 PM of same date with the estimated cost of damage is P10, 000.00.

Motor Vehicular Accident

Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur - Motor vehicular accident occurred at around 10:57 AM of March 21, 2015, wherein a Honda black with plate # mc-29558, driven by Gregorio Alivio Dalion Jr., with one back rider identified as Julius Malce Mangubat, collided with a  Mazda titan color silver bearing plate # aat-5357, driven by Jeffrey Sintos  Navaro. Investigation showed  that the single motorcycle was traversing coming from Josefina heading to Mahayag town and accidentally hit/bumped by Mazda titan which running the same direction. The single motocuclec together with the driver and back rider crashed down on the cemented road and bumped into rail steel road guard fence. They sustained injuries on different parts of their bodies and were immediately brought to LTMPC hospital in Mahayag for immediate medical attention. The Mazda titan incurred damaged at the right front portion. Both vehicles and the Mazda driver were now at the custody of Mahayag MPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested in Lakewood for Buying Cigar Using Fake Money

Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur – A man was arrested after he handed over a five hundred fake peso bill for buying a pack of cigarettes to store owner in Barangay Tubod, Lakewood at about 9:45 PM of March 21, 2015. Arrested was Cesar Quiño Y Bulo, 44, married, resident of Barangay Diplo, Kumalarang. Confiscated from his possession are fake peso bills amounted to five thousand five hundred (P5, 500), cash amounted to one thousand one hundred twenty six pesos (P1, 126) and one (1) pack Marlboro cigarettes.. The suspect was riding a hired single motorcycle driven by Joel Salva coming from Barangay Nilo, Tigbao and will participated in billiard game in the Municipality of Kumalarang, with the use of a five hundred (P500) false or fake Philippine peso bill at the store of Simplicio Mamonta Jr., However, the latter upon receiving the said money from suspect, discovered that the money he received for the payment was a fake or false money. He then immediately held the suspect and called for police assistance at Lake Wood MPS. He is now being detained at the Lakewood MPS for proper disposition.
