Hacking Incident in Zamboanga Del Sur

KUMALARANG, Zamboanga del Sur (July 28, 2018) - Hacking incident transpired at Brgy Salagmanok, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:00 PM of July 26, 2018. 

The PNP team of Kumalarang MPS immediately responded and upon arrival found the lifeless body of Odie Maligaya y Udac, 62 years old, farmer and resident of Brgy. Tininghalang, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur inside the house of the suspect identified as Olimpio Malimbol y Maligaya, 60 years old, farmer and a resident of Purok Uno, Brgy Salagmanok, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that while the victim was sleeping inside the house of the suspect, was hacked several times in his head and face with a scythe that resulted to his instant death.

Further investigation disclosed that the suspect doubted that the victim steal his coconuts.

Further, a post mortem examination was conducted to the cadaver of the victim while suspect now temporarily detained at Kumalarang MPS detention facility for proper disposition. Investigator is PO2 Ulysses C Ragojos with CP # 0912-7481-659.

Theft Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (July 28, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Block 9, Lot 7, Rosario Homes Subdivision, Dao, Pagadian City at about 5:00 PM of July 26, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Nerriza B Donting-Canoy, 34 years old, resident of above-mentioned place.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest with CC number 13590-2K17 for Qualified Theft issued by Hon Judge Dennis P Vicoy, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City on February 12, 2018.     

The above-arrested person is now temporary detained at Pagadian City Police Station detention facility for proper disposition and booking procedures.
