Estafa suspect arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 9, 2018) – The Detective personnel of Pagadian City Police Station have arrested a female student for the crime of Estafa at City Hall Complex, Pagadian City at about 10:30 AM of August 7, 2018.

PSUPT Alvin S Saguban, Acting Chief of Police of Pagadian City Police, identified the accused as Thana Andrea Villagonzalo Jeanjaquet, 25 years old, single, female, student and resident of Purok Lawis, Sta Lucia, Pagadian City

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under CC # RTC-6895 for the crime of Estafa issued April 25, 2017 by Hon Judge Edmundo P Pintac, Executive Judge, RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Ozamis City. 

The arrested wanted person was brought to Pagadian CPS for documentation and booking procedure prior turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition.

1 injured in Electrocution Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 9, 2018) - Electrocution incident transpired at Pulmones St, corner Aquino Street, Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City at about 4:00 AM of August 7, 2018.

The victim identified as Rene Cuatro Carreon, 50 years old, male, married, truck man and a resident of Purok Bagong Buhay, Balangasan, Pagadian City, he was electrocuted while he was on board at the top of a wing van truck with plate number 030101, engine number 6D24-262038 and chassis number FU577UY-500026. The wing van truck is registered in the name of Isabel Espadilla Guanzon, 38 years old, married, businesswoman and resident of Bagong Buhay, Balangasan, Pagadian City, driven by Alberto Mira Simbajon.    

Initial investigation disclosed that while the wing van truck was travelling along Pulmones St, corner Aquino Street, the roof of the truck hurdled a live wire of ZAMSURECO.

Immediately, the victim tried to remove the live wires using his bare hands that resulted to an electrocution and fell down from the truck. The victim was then rushed to Hofileña Hospital for medical treatment.

Based on the medical certificate issued by the attending physician dated August 7, 2018, the victim sustained electrical burn at the right first finger and 7cm lacerated wound secondary to fall, secondary to electrocution. Victim now confined at said hospital for further observation. Investigator is PO2 Gay Marie Morga with CP # 0910-9355-616.

High Value Target Drug Suspect Arrested in Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur

DINAS, ZazmboSur (Aug. 9, 2018) – The Combined PNP personnel of Provincial Intelligence Brach of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, Provincial Mobile Force Company, Dinas MPS, San Miguel MPS, Margosatubig MPS and PDEA conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Tarakan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 AM of August 7, 2018.

The successful operation was resulted in the arrest of Bashir Alibasa y Manguda aka Kanuto Alibasa(High Value Target Level 2 and a drug surrenderee last July 2016), 61 years old, a resident of above mentioned place.

The operating troops arrested the accused by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Section 5, Article 2 of RA 9165 with criminal case number 16-080, dated June 20, 2008 issued by Hon. Rubern N Bance, Presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail recommended.

The operating team Confiscated during the operation are 14 pcs of plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. During the operation, the person of Maribel Berual y Udtohan aka Dadan live-in partner of the subject person was also arrested during the operation by throwing some evidences outside their house.

The arrested subject persons are now under the custody of PDEA for proper disposition.

Alleged Robbery Incident

SOMINOT, ZamboSur (Aug. 9, 2018) - An alleged robbery incident transpired at Purok 7, Brgy. Lantawan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:15 PM of August 8, 2018.

The police identified the victim as Ariel Cubian Y Mausa, 30 years old, married, Micro Finance Collector of ASA Philippines Foundation Incorporated and a resident of Poblacion A, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted that while the victim was driving his single motorcycle from Barangay Lantawan collecting sum of money from their lending business going back to Poblacion proper, upon reaching the grassy/hilly road and desolated part of Purok 7, Barangay Rizal, one suspect wearing facemask (bonnet) blocked his way and drew short firearm unto him.

Another two suspects approached him from his back, one of the suspects told him in Tagalog dialect “Wag Kang Gagalaw”. The suspects allegedly carted away his collection worth thirty thousand pesos (Php30, 000.00), more or less.

According to the victim, the suspects fled away by foot towards the western part direction where Barangay Upper Sicpao is located. PNP elements Sominot MPS is continuously conducting hot pursuit operation towards their escaped route.
